Sierras - Dusy Basin via Bishop Pass
In mid-September, 2018, Dan, Bob and myself had few days to backpack in the Sierras.  We chose South Lake to Dusy Basin via Bishop Pass.  It's one of the easier routes into the range, and also one of the most dramatic and beautiful.  We started with very windy and chilly weather, followed by calmer conditions but with cold mornings (mid-20's in the mornings).  There was not even one cloud all week.  It was on this trip that our age was showing, yet we mostly did what we'd planned despite being exhausted one evening and fairly tired another.
