Northern 1/3 of Oregon Coast - From Fort Stevens to Cape Lookout
Along this part of the coast, you are likely to see more people from the Portland area, especially around Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach. There are good reasons for this: it's a beautiful area with nice towns, good restaurants, and hotels. The campgrounds here are popular, but with planning and patience, you can get a spot.
There are high cliffs right along Highway 101, and long, wide beaches, rocky headlands, tide pools, and sea stacks. If you're in the Portland area and your time is limited, the northern coast is the place to go.
