Sunset beach and Del Rey state recreation area​s

   This is the first long beach south of Fort Stevens.  A display explains the role salmon played in the lives of the natives who lived here long before Lewis and Clark.  The Fort-to-Sea trail begins or ends here.  That is, you can walk from Fort Stevens to Sunset Beach along a good, 6.5-mile trail.  No bikes are allowed for most of its length.  
    Del Rey Beach is another long and drivable beach south of Fort Stevens and Sunset Beach.  It looks much like the other long beaches.  You will have no trouble finding a lonely beach in Oregon.
