Tolvana Beach State Recreation Area is on Cannon Beach and just south of, and connected to, the town of Cannon Beach. This is a simple parking lot with restrooms and a nice beach. It's a good place to have a picnic, play in the sand, take long walks, and there are places to stay along here. It's less than a mile south of iconic Haystack Rock. Hint: Across the road is the Natural Grocery. Their coffee is surprisingly good, and they sell lots of food for that picnic or just snacks. In the end, this is just another of the uncountable Oregon beaches.
Del Rey Beach State Recreation Area is south of Tolvana and out of town. Because the small parking lot was full and because I was towing my trailer, there was no place to park. I added a photo of the lot with a bit of the beach. I've been there and it's another nice beach.
Hug Point State Recreation Site was damaged by high waves and tides and is closed. The signage says that fixing the issues will be difficult and expensive. This is a lovely little cove and beach, though. But there's a sheer drop-off to get down to the beach.
