Dan and I decided to backpack to Tapto Lakes, which is fairly deep into the North Cascades.  We came in over Hannegan Pass.  Tapto is sort of off-trail, though there is a scramble that's fairly easy to find.  It's not crowded.  The huckleberries were outstanding!  Winter came and we were stuck for an extra day waiting for a whiteout to lift.  Quite a lot of snow fell, though when we got down a little lower all was fine.  The photos are small -- from an old pocket camera.
