Cape lookout campout and hike and Cape Meares, Oregon
Four of us friends camped out on the Oregon Coast on a rainy late fall weekend. It rained, a lot. We day hiked to the tip of Cape Lookout, Oregon's longest cape, only to arrive and never seen the Pacific due to fog. That happens. It was the muddiest and wettest trail I've ever hiked. We had camped at Cape Lookout State Park, one of my favorites. On the second day, Dylan, Paul, and I visited Cape Mears, my favorite cape. It was less foggy for a short while so we actually saw the ocean. The photos were through the mist and one looks as if Dylan's camera lens got wet (the group shot), but we really enjoyed our time there despite the weather.
