In late summer of 2013 Dan, Bob and I drove out to the Wind River Range in western Wyoming for a week in the back country.  Our destination was Cook Lakes and from there we'd do a couple of long day hikes and scrambles.  Due to my incompetence the first day hike missed the intended goal.  Oh well, it was still beautiful and fun.  Second day hike went fine but the weather was darkening.
